Partnerships
Emerald Public Journal considers collaborations that fit its focus on public culture and give readers a clear reason to engage. Partnerships must preserve the distinction between editorial work and material created with commercial or external support.
Suitable collaborations
We consider relevant cultural projects, public programmes, educational resources and carefully scoped partner features that connect naturally with shared places, objects, language, ceremonies or public memory. A proposal should explain its purpose, intended audience, proposed contribution and any relationship or support involved. Relevance alone does not guarantee acceptance.
Partner placements
Partner placements may appear across the site where they suit the subject and reader. Each placement is labelled clearly as partner material, and any paid or contributed relationship is disclosed. Placement does not imply endorsement, independent verification of every partner claim or control over editorial coverage.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Describe the organisation or project without assuming prior familiarity, outline the proposed format and timing, and state what support or payment is involved. We may decline proposals that do not fit the publication or that would blur the line between independent editorial work and promotion.
The public realm is made of details
A bench, a notice or a familiar gathering place can tell us how shared life is arranged. Attention to such details makes public culture easier to understand.
